SEED's life-saving services are at-risk.
Kurdistan is facing an urgent crisis, with life-saving services hanging by a thread. Funding shortages, coupled with the recent freeze on U.S. foreign aid, are shutting down vital programs across the region that support survivors of violence and conflict, as well as families in desperate need. These include essential services like shelter, food, mental health and medical care, legal support, and protection services.
Since SEED’s establishment in 2014, we have been unwavering in our commitment to advocating for human rights, supporting displaced families, and providing essential assistance to people in crisis. We have served over 15,000 individuals with mental health, legal, shelter, and protection services – support that has been critical to their survival and dignity. Through our training, we equipped over 1,700 government and NGO practitioners with the skills and knowledge to better protect our community. And, as a result of long term advocacy and technical assistance, we have secured more than 50 institutional and policy changes that promote human rights and protections for all, creating a future where everyone can thrive.
